Every house has its own opening hours, its own happy hour and its own menu. What stays the same is how you are welcomed.
The Westend works by day and goes out at night. Both meet at our tables. The kitchen opens onto the dining room, bulbs hang low over the tables, and the bar fills up later in the evening. Lunch is quick here. Dinner takes its time.
Step off the train in Koblenz and you are almost at our door. That makes this a meeting point for everyone arriving, moving on or simply staying. The bar runs the length of the room, and there is one long table for groups.
Aachener Straße begins at Rudolfplatz and we sit right at the start of it. On Fridays and Saturdays we stay open until one in the morning, because evenings here rarely end at ten. If you prefer it quieter, come at lunchtime. We deliver within two kilometres.
This is where the big tables come together: families on Sunday, celebrations on Saturday, and during the week everyone travelling the A3. The guest car park is right outside and the first two hours are free. If you are driving, this is the easiest one to reach.
In the middle of Langgasse, where the city centre is at its busiest. A red neon sign hangs above the bar: Wiesbaden Amore Mio. And there is something here no other house has, a bowls menu of its own for anyone with a short lunch break and high standards.
Meatballs, rigatoni alla vodka, cheesecake. Not Italian, not American. A third thing that tastes right on both sides.
