Each of us had our own day, our own worries and our own luck. One rule stood firm all the same: when it is time to eat, the family comes together.
Everything was settled at that table. Who wins at football. And the less important questions about school grades. For the big topics and the small ones there is no better moment than good food and a glass of wine.
That is how we came to hospitality. Because we love good food. And because we know what it does to people.
Two family stories. One table.
More than a hundred years ago, Italian families emigrated to New York. They took little with them. They took their family table.
In Little Italy that grew into a culture of its own. Sunday dinner, full pots, a long table. Whoever was there ate along.
We were not born in Little Italy. But we believe in the same thing. That is why we tell this story as a homage, not as our own origin.
